This is great news, but anything can happen, given that Iran is not known for keeping any agreements. They only agree and move on to building or trying to build nukes and missiles. A key point I heard over the weekend is that this agreement is with the government, not the IRGC, setting up an internal battle that someone will have to resolve.
This internal battle will let us know who is really running the country, and hopefully, it is not the extreme terrorists who want to keep fighting. The market is positive for now, but one missile could change everything. It is time for peace in the Middle East, which is the hardest nut to crack in current world affairs, but it seems we are on track for now. All IMO.
“The US and Iran have reached a peace deal to end their three-and-a-half-month-old war, President Trump announced Sunday evening.
The Strait of Hormuz, which carries 20% of the world’s oil, is set to reopen on Friday when a deal is signed in Switzerland, officials said.
“The Deal with the Islamic Republic of Iran is now complete,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
“Congratulations to all! I hereby fully authorize the toll free opening of the Strait of Hormuz, and, simultaneously herewith, authorize the immediate removal of the United States Naval blockade. Ships of the World, start your engines. Let the oil flow!”
