For progressives, TDS takes center stage because this conflict was necessary. The uninformed, Trump-haters would rather Iran be able to build a nuke than what Trump and Netanyahu are doing for the world. All the countries in the Middle East are coming together as they never have, and that is a victory in and of itself. There is no more fear from Iran’s neighbors, and they are all willing to jump in and bring this conflict to an end.
But people like Adam Schiff and his band of progressives only see hate for Trump and are blinded by everything else. It is time for the real Democrats to take “back” control of the party or lose it. All IMO.

Schiff said, “The deadline never seems serious to me. And if it didn’t seem serious to me, I doubt it seemed serious to Iran. So I don’t know what to make of this five-day delay. The president does this quite frequently. He will say, ‘I’m going to do this in two weeks,’ and then two weeks come, and he pushes it down the road. It just causes you to lose credibility as a commander-in-chief. So I don’t know how serious the threat was to begin with. We don’t know how serious the negotiations are now.”
