This is so outrageous and shows our teachers' unions are counter to our National Defense. We have kids who can't read or write, while teachers go on strike and travel to the islands for a vacation.
This is so disappointing, for the kids who will grow up as activists but can't run a cash register, or read instructions on how to put something together. This is a result of "teachers' unions", those who think they own your kids. The Unions should be evaluated by the results of their products, and, in this case, those results are our kids. All IMO.

As part of these protests, Chicago Schools are going to allow students to attend, and if they choose to go, they can be shuttled to the protests using tax dollars.
Aside from the fact that a significant number of students in Chicago schools can’t read at grade level, how is any of this even legal?
