It would not surprise me if there are more than a few IRGC members leading this group because Iran is on its last legs, and this is one more way to continue to survive. However, at this time, it is not a good move for Trump to expand this war to Yemen. The progressives would have a field day, and people would lose sight of what happens if we do nothing.
Saudi Arabia should be able to handle this situation with our intelligence and guidance, and that would be good. A double punch, one to the IRGC and the other to the Houthis, should end this conflict, but until then the Democrats will call this a Trump War, and it is, and if it wasn’t, Iran would have a nuke. And we already know they would use it. Of course, that is never in the comments from the left or our media. All IMO.

“First, some context. The Houthis originally emerged in the 1990s from the Zaydi Shi’ite heartland of northern Yemen, fought six wars against the Yemeni government between 2004 and 2010, and seized the capital city of Sanaa in 2014. In March 2015, Saudi Arabia led an Arab coalition in a major anti-Houthi military intervention—yet more than 11 years of warfare failed to dislodge them from the capital or much of Yemen’s densely populated northwest. Meanwhile, Iranian support for the Houthis helped transform a northern insurgency into a force capable of operating ballistic and cruise missiles, one-way attack drones, anti-ship weapons, and unmanned vessels. By late 2023, the Houthis could use that arsenal to disrupt international shipping across the Red Sea.
All of the countries that have tried to intervene against the Houthis over the past decade—Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, the United States—had more money, better aircraft, and superior intelligence, plus precision weapons. They also killed Houthi commanders, destroyed missile sites, intercepted weapons shipments, and sanctioned financiers. But none of those advantages produced a Houthi defeat.”
