This major point seems to be missed by our media, so here is my take. Iran is on its heels, doing anything to be a burr under the saddle of Trump, and some of it works. I am sure Trump is up in arms, unable to finish this conflict.
The biggest mistake, or judgment error, was assuming China and Russia wouldn't jump in as far as they have when it comes to support. China is responsible for the deaths of Americans, and we can’t forget. I have no doubt this will end soon, and I hope Trump slaps these countries hard. To me, there is no more “my friends” and “we understand each other”.
China and Russia will take everything Trump offers and much of what he doesn’t, and you can bet there will be no payback to our country for anything, ever. Trump made me a believer that the world has been messing with us for quite some time, and now it’s time for the cleanup. By that I mean leveling the playing field because we are not the world’s piggy bank. All IMO.

President Trump is tightening America’s blockade of Iranian oil exports, denying Tehran access to global financial institutions, and targeting the Islamic Republic’s assets. As November’s midterm elections in America are nearing, though, the White House might opt for negotiations.
“The failing nation of Iran wants to reach a deal, quickly and decisively,” Mr. Trump said Monday. “I will decide whether the United States chooses to hold talks, an idea we’re open to.”
Vice President Vance added that Washington is “in constant contact with the Emiratis, the Saudis, and others who are affected in the region.” Speaking with reporters Monday, Mr. Vance added that “We’ve also been engaged in direct conversations with the Houthis themselves.”
