How many times in history has socialism or communism failed, yet they keep trying, and voters keep buying. Promises of total equality mean everyone shares in the ideology’s pain, except the leaders who get rich and are power-hungry. There is no good end to communism, but at least people can see a future once the communists are removed.
Cuba is ready to boom big time, but not under Castro’s leadership, so Trump is doing the correct thing by forcing the communists out of power. The people will now have a chance at dreaming of a future, and the island will prosper. All IMO.

“Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Wednesday delivered a blunt and highly personal appeal to the Cuban people, accusing the Communist regime and its military-run business empire of enriching themselves while ordinary Cubans endure blackouts, hunger, and repression.
“The real reason you don’t have electricity, fuel, or food is because those who control your country have plundered billions of dollars, but nothing has been used to help the people,” Rubio said, speaking in Spanish on the anniversary of Cuba’s 1902 independence.
Rubio directly targeted Grupo de Administracion Empresarial S.A., the military conglomerate founded by Raul Castro, calling it “a state within the state” that now controls “70% of Cuba’s economy” while ordinary citizens are “forced to survive 22 hours a day without electricity.”
He accused the ruling elite of hoarding wealth.
“They profit from hotels, construction, banks, stores, and even from the money your relatives send you from the U.S. Everything — everything — passes through their hands.”
Rejecting Havana’s claims that U.S. sanctions are responsible for the crisis, Rubio said the regime squandered decades of subsidized Venezuelan oil from Hugo Chavez and Nicolas Maduro instead of modernizing Cuba’s failing infrastructure.
“Instead of using the money to maintain and modernize the damaged power plants, they use the money to build more hotels for foreigners and to send their relatives to live in luxury in Madrid and even here in the United States,” he said.
The speech marked one of the Trump administration’s strongest public attacks yet on Cuba’s Communist system and comes after the administration’s high-profile capture of Maduro earlier this year.”
