How much money was wasted that could be used to help people, not ideologues with a big head? These woke scientists sit in rooms bouncing the same ideas off each other until they all agree, but the problem is that there are no scientists in the room to counter the BS. This is called an echo chamber, defined as an environment in which individuals are exposed only to information that reinforces their existing beliefs, often leading to a lack of understanding of opposing viewpoints. Clearly, a shortage of federal money was not an issue.
Democrats’ international allies deployed a similar strategy against global warming in the Kyoto Protocol, setting binding greenhouse gas emission reduction targets in 1997 which went into force in 2005. It is widely agreed to have been a massive failure, as the U.S. Senate unanimously rejected the agreement and Canada ended up formally withdrawing from it after it became clear it would never meet its targets.

What the data say has actually worked to reduce carbon dioxide emissions is a technology despised in blue states: fracked natural gas. The Energy Information Administration said in 2024 that 60 percent of carbon dioxide emissions reductions came from increased use of natural gas. This increased reliance on natural gas has contributed to pragmatic emissions trends in red states, often without explicit climate goals.”
