To be honest, I’m not sure of the end result of all these gerrymandering efforts in Texas, Virginia, California and now Florida. But logic tells me it should have to do with the percentage of Republicans and Democrats in the state. Anything else is a form of gerrymandering, some minor and some so outrageous that it makes one wonder how they get away with it.
Why can’t either party play by common sense in this matter? All the justifications are total BS, and I can’t wait to hear Virginia’s arguments since they are trying to move to a 10-1 advantage, although Trump took over 40% of the votes in the state. They currently say they are doing it because Texas did, and they want to level the playing field. That should get them thrown out of court, but with activist judges, who knows what the outcome will be? All IMO.
