These activists are really living in a fantasy world of their own. If they think the public sees these flotillas as humanitarian aid, they are mistaken. Common sense folks look at these activists as ignorant and out of touch, being funded by Islamic terrorist supporters or rich parents. This is their full-time job: to be an activist for a cause, any cause that gets publicity.
These people should be ashamed. All IMO.
“A New York City anti-Israel activist and Gaza flotilla participant on Monday disclosed the motives behind last week’s blockade run, declaring that the main objective of the sea-borne mission was not to deliver humanitarian aid, but rather to confront the Israel Defense Forces and draw media attention back to the Palestinian cause.
Speaking in a Palestinian Youth Movement NYC Instagram video posted on X, Adalah co-vessel organizer Rosa Martinez said that the media had heavily misrepresented the April and May flotillas as “some sort of humanitarian aid mission.”
“I feel like there’s a lot of misnarration in the media that this is some sort of humanitarian aid mission where I think that’s kind of flattening what it is that we’re doing. Yes, there is aid. The aid that we have isn’t sufficient to the structural issues in a post-quote-unquote ceasefire Gaza,” Mr. Martinez said. He added that “directly confronting the Israeli occupation forces at sea as we try to break this 20-year genocidal siege” is “a historic responsibility” and that the overarching priorities of the activist mission were focused on “engaging with the IOF directly, putting the spotlight back on Gaza, because it has fallen off the headlines.”
