Marco is probably the most knowledgeable person on foreign affairs, our internal affairs and other important matters Trump assigns him. I have no clue how SCOTUS could not see the history of birthright citizens, and it was for the slaves to ensure they had the right to be here.
Justice Thomas had it right, and Roberts and Amy Coney Barrett, for some reason, could not see this and assume our Constitution allows come one, come all pregnant women and have their child here. This type of open door is a national security issue, which I guess SCOTUS is ok with.
If this isn’t addressed, a large part of our citizens would grow up in other countries, then come back one day and act for the country they grew up in. What about politics and voting impacts, realize all these citizen are authorized to use absentee ballots the same as I used when in the military overseas.
At least Trump is acting by using Rubio to lead, but if a liberal takes over, you can expect open doors everywhere, and we can’t let that happen. All IMO.

The policy covers the people who own, run, and manage commercial birth tourism networks. It also covers visa “fixers” who coach applicants on how to lie, along with foreign doctors who knowingly help arrange the travel and the fraudulent use of Medicaid. Certain family members can be swept in too.
Rubio said these networks advertise openly, walk clients through false visa applications, and charge tens of thousands of dollars to set up a birth in the United States.
“The United States will not allow foreigners to exploit our immigration system,” he said.
Pregnant foreigners can still travel to the United States, and the restrictions apply only to people the administration decides are knowingly working the commercial side of it.”
