That is a powerful statement if you think about it. It covers both ends of the spectrum, starting with abortion and ending with assisted suicide, which seems to be the trend already in Europe and is now coming to America. In fact, assisted suicide is becoming a choice as a medical procedure. Unbelievable, and we wonder why life doesn’t matter, and kids are killing kids. I’m not sure how some religious folks think this is what God wanted in any way, but they do, or they knowingly commit sin and ask for forgiveness later. Not a good path, and God will make the final call.
I’ve had both my parents die of cancer, which was horrible, and there was never a thought of suicide, so how people rationalize this as humanity is beyond me. Letting one die naturally, as God intended, is my path. This is a very sensitive topic that gets heated, but it is not the time to follow the lemmings off the cliff of humanity. All IMO.

During his address, the Pope spoke of the growing trend in liberal Western nations to legalise assisted suicide, in which patients are provided with life-ending drugs, and euthanasia, in which doctors otherwise intervene to kill a patient under the auspices of relieving suffering.
“The human person is ‘worthy’ simply by virtue of existing and of being destined for eternity. Our dignity cannot be measured or debated,” he declared.
“I know that for some of you, because of particular illnesses and, at times, terrible pain, your horizon may appear dark, uncertain and without hope. But no human law should ever make you lose the certainty of your dignity. On the contrary, it is precisely in the name of this inalienable dignity of the human person that we must reject the temptation to cause death under the guise of false compassion. It is impossible to regard causing death as something normal. What is legal is not necessarily moral,” Leo said.”
