This is no longer about teachers’ pay or working conditions. This is about controlling your kids, all of them, by feeding them an ideology over the basics, and that is an attack on our country.
Think about the insanity; even China and Russia know that the basics are second in line behind their ideology, if not mixed together. But our teachers forgot the second half, and we are graduating kids who can’t read, write or do basic math.
Randi Weintgarten owns this and is a criminal in my mind. We need to take back our schools and limit teachers’ unions to anything not related to pay and teachers’ working conditions. The power of this group is immense, and to think they fully support the Democrats. It is no wonder we now have adults who can’t even survive after leaving home. All IMO.

According to the chart, the power of a teachers union in each state appears to be inversely correlated with the adoption of key early-literacy reforms, associated with higher reading scores. In other words, when teachers unions have more of a say, their interests come before those of students, despite what their PR divisions might tell you. Meanwhile, states with significantly weaker teachers unions have embraced far more literacy reforms, and, in several cases, have seen major gains in student reading.”
