This is so counter to being a successful basketball league, and it seems the players, at least most of them, are anti-American, pro-trans, and totally out of their minds. They can’t handle a white women leading the profits that they are receiving and would happily throw Caitlin Clark out of the league. Why?
Because she is white and the league believes a black should be the face people see and talk about. Talk about racism; it is front and center in the WNBA which I don’t think is here long term. If it isn’t Caitlin Clark or Sophie Cunningham, I’m not interested in watching the racists using violent fouls to send a message, approved by the league and implemented by the refs.
The NBA foots a lot of the bill, like around 50 million dollars a year, because this league cannot stand on its own, but it could. They just have to look within to succeed, but this is more political than real, and people are waking up. I hope for success but have my doubts. All IMO.

Summary from CSNews Bot:
”Before Games 1 and 2 of the WNBA Finals at Chase Center, both the Atlanta Dream and the Golden State Valkyries left the floor right before the “Star-Spangled Banner.” They returned as soon as it ended. OutKick’s Dan Zaksheske reported that both teams had been warming up, “disappeared for roughly the two minutes” of the anthem, then jogged back out. Neither team nor the league explained why.
The move drew criticism online. The WNBA rulebook says players, coaches, and trainers “are to stand and line up in a dignified posture along the sidelines or on the foul line” during the anthem. But it doesn’t say they have to be on the court, so it’s unclear whether either team broke the rule, and the league hasn’t commented. AP reports that many WNBA teams have left the court before the anthem for at least six seasons, often tied to social-justice causes.
The practice dates back years. In 2017 the league suspended its anthem protocol and let teams choose how to respond, and the LA Sparks stayed in their locker room during the anthem before Game 1 of the Finals that year. In 2020, the New York Liberty and Seattle Storm walked off before their season opener to protest racial inequality and honor Breonna Taylor.”
