Personally, I like Barkley, but he is stepping into politics and doesn’t know the story, but goes ahead and makes an out-of-touch comment mixing legal immigrants that Americans love, versus illegals committing crimes in our communities. We all agree that immigrants are the core of this nation, and their skills are beyond expectations. But we don’t need the gang members or mentally ill people being pushed into our country under Joe Biden.
This messaging is exactly what the extremists want: a deflection of the truth, acting as if illegals are legal, along with a man being able to have a baby. It is all about the messaging, and unfortunately, the stars of the world know nothing and live in secluded caves in protected communities. Barkley needs to know and present the facts, or leave his opinion out of sports broadcasting. He even stated his comment would be an issue, so he did it on purpose and provided the spin that progressives want sold. All IMO.

“Charles Barkley slammed President Donald Trump’s crackdown on illegal immigration on Sunday, with the basketball legend saying the Trump administration’s approach to immigration has been a “travesty and a disgrace.”
The outspoken Hall-of-Famer shared his opinion on the March Madness pregame show on CBS. The network had just aired a feature on UCONN star Alex Karaban, a first-generation American who is the son of Belarusian immigrants, when Barkley sounded off.
“I want to be very careful with my words right now, because this is a really touchy subject for me,” Barkley started off by saying. “I love that kid and his family, but the way some of these other immigrants are getting treated in our country right now is a travesty and a disgrace.”
He continued:
I think there’s a difference between amazing immigrants and criminal immigrants, and I think what’s going on in our country — what we’re doing to some of these amazing immigrants, is really unfortunate and it’s really sad.”
