When will our media start asking questions that matter, because it sure seems they are handling El-Sayed with kid gloves. He supports Sharia law, but how many times has he been asked what it means?
He is clueless or putting on a good front, spouting that we should not be in regime change, only the Iranian people. You know the same people that the IRGC mowed down with machine guns in the thousands.
Trump did not go in for regime change, but it will happen; he went in for the nuclear prevention of a terrorist nation. How would he ensure Iran did not get a nuke? Or is he with his buddy Hassan Piker, who stated that Iran should get a nuke; it would be good for the region?
This guy must be stopped, and I’m waiting for some strong punches on his history and stances, especially Gaza, Iran and the Ukraine war. But will our media ask? All IMO.
“He went on to reject US-led regime change in Iran.
“I will always stand for and with democratic movements always,” El-Sayed said.
“But I also don’t believe that we were in the right to go to war to topple the government of Iran. It was not our responsibility to do. It is the responsibility of the people of Iran to decide what their leadership should look like.”
El-Sayed argued that the US has too often acted as “the world’s policeman” while saying he supports democratic movements by the Iranian people.
Dashti pressed him again.
“You stand with us?” he asked.
“I will always stand with movements for freedom and democracy,” El-Sayed responded, before again warning against US involvement in regime change.
“We should not be in the business of regime change,” he said.
El-Sayed added moments later, “I want freedom and democracy for the people of Iran, no question. But I want that to be done by the people of Iran, coming together as a community to decide how to create democratic change in their society.”
